The Cuban Swimmer: I really enjoyed reading this story. It was inspirational and reminded me of when I used to play soccer. I loved the tragic ending that turns into Margarita’s surprise victory of the big swimming race. I didn’t, however, like all the spanish phrases, I couldn’t understand them.
I Dream Before I Take the Stand: I got really annoyed with the back and forth questioning between the lawyer and the poor girl. It really made me angry the way he was asking her the questions. I felt like he was manipulation what actually happened that day in the park.

I agree with you it pissed me off when the lawyer was trying to make it seem like it was her fault, and that her clothes were inticing him.

So which play will you choose? I love the ending of The Cuban Swimmer, but I’m still not sure exactly what it means.

I liked the cuban swimmer too. And as you said it inspires you because it shows you how everything is possible just by trying a little harder. I was surprised by the ending I thought she died but then she ended up winning the race.
